My children,

The future is uncertain. I wish I could protect you from the world’s horrors. I wish I could hold you in my arms and keep you safe. But I am only human and my life and influence is not eternal.

I hoped you would have full lives where you could pursue your happiness in safety. I hoped that the world would find a way to work together to keep you alive and well. But I am worried for you and for our world.

If there comes a time when I am not here to actively give you my love and comfort, know that my love and comfort will continue to live in your hearts.

For your safety, look to the skies. Be aware of what is happening around you. Don’t hide your heads in the sand. Be brave, be strong, and don’t let your fears keep you from living an hour of your life. If a year, a month, a day, or an hour is all that you have, then live it.
