I started my blog, Raising Drama, in 2005.  My oldest child, my daughter, Lauren, was in her early teens.  I found that the network of parents that I had had when she was younger, had started to disappear.  She was meeting new friends and I didn’t know their parents.  The friends didn’t call the house phone, they started to communicate through Social Networking sites . . . and then came cell phones.

As she and her friends navigated the difficult waters of adolescence, I started to write about what I had learned from their experiences.  The blog grew from there and it now includes stories about my life; my genealogical research and stories I have been able to recreate from the information I have discovered (along with family recipes); stories about my dogs, Daisy & Duke; stories about my mother’s challenges and our relationship as her memory loss progresses; stories about ordinary people who face circumstances that make them extraordinary; and finally, posts about writing my novels, The Tin Box Trilogy, by Theresa Dodaro.

Please come and read when you have some time.
